ArchaeaBot in Of the Earth at Diriyah Art Futures

Alex May and Anna Dumitriu exhibited ArchaeaBot in Of the Earth: Earthly Technologies to Computational Biologies at Diriyah Art Futures in Riyadh from 14 January to 16 May 2026. Curated by Irini Papadimitriou, the exhibition brought together more than 30 artists to consider how technology reshapes relationships with the natural world.

For ArchaeaBot, this was a strong context. The work sits precisely at the intersection of biology, speculative futures, and computational systems, but it does so through questions that remain central to May’s practice: what survives, what is transformed, and how technology changes our sense of continuity with the world around us.
